Whether it fits is settled first. Whether it is worth buying is a separate label.

Which of these memory cards also fit another device
Fit rarely carries across generations, so this lists only the exact models each product is separately documented to fit.
None of these memory cards is documented to fit any other model we cover. Treat each one as specific to Nintendo Switch 2.
Common wrong buys
What looks like it fits Nintendo Switch 2 but does not
The two most common wrong buys are a standard microSD card and an original Switch dock. A standard microSD card fits the slot but only transfers screenshots and video; games need microSD Express. Original Switch docks are shaped for the smaller console.
These sit in the same memory cards aisle and are confirmed for a different exact model. We have no published answer saying any of them fits Nintendo Switch 2, so treat them as unverified for this device rather than as a fit.

Coming from an older model
Why a previous-generation memory card may fail here
Nintendo Switch 2 is a different size and a different set of connectors from every earlier Switch. The screen is 7.9 inches against 6.2 on the original and 7 on the OLED model, the console measures roughly 4.5 by 10.7 by 0.55 inches with controllers attached, there is a second USB-C connector on the top edge as well as the one on the bottom, and the card slot takes microSD Express rather than standard microSD.
Almost nothing physical carries over. A case, grip, or carrying case cut for the original Switch or the OLED model is too small, and a screen protector cut for either is the wrong size and shape. Power adapters and USB-C cables are the exception: they are not shaped to the console.
